Organic Milk

Organic milk is from cows that are only fed organic feed and aren’t fed any synthetic hormones. They also can’t be given some types of medication for illness such as antibiotics. Organic mild doesn’t have any kind of harmful pesticides. Organic agriculture comes from organic cows that are fed food that’s free from chemical pesticides. Many organic cows graze out in the open air. This is beneficial because it’s been found that there’s 500 percent more CLA in cows milk fat when they are grass fed instead of given supplemental foods. CLA has many benefits which include boosting the immune system, increasing metabolic rate and muscle growth. It also reduces cholesterol and allergies.

Only about 3 percent of milk sold in the United States is organic milk but it’s increasing. Other countries are also seeing a rising market for organic milk. Research has shown that organic milk has 71 percent more omega 3 than regular milk. This may be due to organic cows eating a higher amount of red clover when they are grazing. Red clover contains a lot of omega 3. Higher concentrations of vitamins such as A and E were found in organic milk. Antioxidants are important for a healthy circulatory system and helps lower the risk of heart disease. Another study found that antioxidants are 50 to 80 percent higher in organic than regular or conventional milk. Drinking organic milk is a natural way to get essential vitamins your body needs to fight illness. You can get many of these vitamins just by drinking a half pint a day.
