New Car or Good Paint Job
Saturday, December 24th, 2011Cars get old and eventually the body will need work. There will be rust because metal decays and this causes the vehicle to not be pleasing on the eyes, not to mention it the air will come across more resistance when traveling. The economy has taken a turn for the worst over the past couple of years and money is not as easy as it used to be to come across, so buying a new car is possible for many people. The best option is to continue using the same one and get it painted. It is kind of like a new one and will have to work. Putting a cardboard scent hanger form the rear view mirror will help with the overall concept. Painting is an art form and is difficult. You have to be in good physical condition, especially having excellent knee health because there are many panels and your arm has to reach far to cover all of the surface area. The booth, or dedicated place to spray the paint on has to be clear of any debris or anything that could contaminate the layer that is going to be going on. Even a fly could land on the hood and make it not turn out alright, so keep it clean. The pressure of the air sprayer has to be set just right and the vertical pattern needs to be even so each horizontal stroke will lay an even amount on the surface. Many experts believe that if the vehicle is heated then there will be a better cure and the final product will turn out better, but this is expensive for the average garage to take on. Plenty of time is required to let it dry and harden. A clear cote may be applied if a shiny look is desired, but depends on the customers preferences.
